After a heavy pack out, I was concerned about the width and padding of the original hip belt. I love everything about the Climax 5400 but I was considering a different pack for only that reason. After touching base with the AKEK team in Seven Springs, they informed me they had received similar feedback and had redesigned the belt (and other things). It delivered very fast and retrofit onto the original frame perfectly. I’m looking forward to putting it through its paces this fall!
